Session location is one of the first things I talk about with clients. Most of the locations I photograph at are West of the City of Pittsburgh. Some are more wooded, while others are more open. I choose these locations due to a variety in the landscape, accessibility, and lighting.

Raccoon Creek State Park

This is one of my favorite locations because there's a variety of landscape including water. The field location looks great in any season. There's also a pull off area with rocks in a gravel lot that's fun to stop at too. All the photos above are from locations in the park at various times of the year.

Open fields and Gravel Road

This is a private property near the Hopewell exit of 376. In the spring and early summer the grass is tall until it's bailed for hay. It's a great place for open skies. This photos above are from that location.

Tall Grassy Field with Paths

This location is new Post Gazette/Starlake (insert newest name of for the concert venue). It's private property great through about June for tall grass and paths until the hay is bailed. There's also usually a large section of flowers growing.

Robin Hill Park-Moon Twp

I also love location that provide some variety. Wooded areas, a brick building, stone walls, stairs, and ivy wall and really cool doors are all features at Robin Hill Park. The photos above are from Robin Hill Park.

Private Farm Land Near Clinton

The photos above are on property near Clinton, about 15 mins from the airport. There are wide open fields, piles of rock, and gravel pathways with rolling hills in the background. The photos above are from this location.

Hookstown

The locations above are all within the vicinity of the Hookstown fairgrounds. There is a historical cabin, large barns fields with rolling hills and a small wooden covered bridge. This location should be avoided if there are any fairgrounds events taking place. The photos above are in these locations

Fern Hollow-Sewickley

The photos above are from Fern Hollow near Sewickley. This location has a variety of grassy areas, paths, and open field. It's usually a pretty busy place with other photographers and sessions going on as well.
